If you will be near Universal Studios on your next

business trip or vacation, you should definitely make

time for a Universal Studios Tour. This will not only

provide you with a day filled with fun and excitement

but you will also get a behind the scenes look at

what it really takes to produce the Movies that we

all wait anxiously to see.

If you are really interested in the world of movie

making, don’t miss the Universal Studios Tour. The

tour takes about one hour, and you will visit the sets

of many famous movies and television shows. You

will see the stars dressing rooms, and you may even

run into a star or two along the way, or get to see an

outdoors filming session in progress.

The Special Effects Stage, located inside the park,

is another attraction you won’t want to miss. Here,

you will learn how Hollywood creatures are made,

how sound effects are produced, and how visual

affects are designed and implemented. This is an

interactive attraction, and it only takes about thirty

minutes to go all the way through it. Even though it

doesn’t last long, there is a lot of information to be

learned here – quickly! The interaction with the

visitors makes this one of the most popular

attractions at the park.

For the most exclusive and personalized look behind

the scenes, you should definitely consider purchasing

a VIP Studios Pass. This pass costs under $150 for

one person, and it is worth every penny! This will

entitle you to a private tour of Universal Studios, and

you will be allowed in areas that standard tour visitors

won’t see. You will also have the right to move right to

the front of the line for all rides and attractions with the

VIP pass. VIP passes can be purchased online, by

telephone, or at the park – but they are limited to a

certain number of VIP passes that are issued per day,

so get yours as soon as possible.

Universal Studios is more than an amusement park,

it is an interesting and amazing learning experience

that you will never forget – no matter what age you

are. The next time you watch an action movie, you

won’t think ‘how did they do that?’ You will already

have some idea as to how those special effects

were created! You may even get so much out of

your Universal Studios Tour experience that you

think of ways that you could have done it better!

Sign up to attend the 2009 Disney World Christmas Day Parade

It’s a well-known “secret” that Disney’s annual Christmas Day Parade is actually taped a few weeks before Christmas Day. This year, it’s being taped at the Magic Kingdom on Dec. 3, 4, and 5 (Thursday – Saturday).

Registration is now open for anyone who wants to sign up to be part of the crowd and watch the taping. You can register by following this link.

On Dec. 3 and 4, guest star performances will be shot on Cinderella’s Castle Stage and Main Street USA for the show. On Dec. 5, the parade itself will be shot featuring Disney Characters and guest star performances along Main Street USA. In the past, stars performing have included the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Jessica Simpson, Katherine McPhee, the cast of “Dancing with the Stars,” and many more. The whole event has been hosted by Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, though they are generally only present while shooting the parade down Main Street USA.

Here are a few more details about the taping:

Cost: Registration is free.

Online Registration Ends: December 2, 2009 12:00 AM Pacific Time

There is no age restriction on who can attend the taping. Up to 8 people are allowed to attend per family.Children 2 and under will not need a ticket and do not need to be included in the count.

The shoot will start as early as 7:30 a.m. but generally lasts throughout most of the day. Space is available on a first-come basis. If you arrive late on the day of the taping, you will not be guaranteed admission into the park. Word of warning: It can get very cramped in the reserved spaces.

If you decide to visit the Magic Kingdom that day without signing up for the taping, it is still possible to watch the show, but you will not be allowed into the special reserved areas and will be required to keep moving along the sidewalks.

Here’s a brief video we shot during the 2007 Christmas Day parade taping:

Still haven’t got tickets yet to visit Disney World or haven’t got your Disney Vacation Package for Magic Kingdom? Then check out our website at www.orlandodiscountticketsusa.com for all your Disney Vacations needs.

Most prospective visitors to Orlando figure that they will get their best thrills and fun at Disney World, Universal Studios and other big name entertainment centers, but there are other unsung attractions in the Orlando area that are highly rated by vacationers and local residents alike.

One of these lesser known attractions is the Funspot Amusement Park. It is a first class amusement park, with a three level go-kart track, a 101-foot high Ferris wheel, bumper cars and bumper boats, and a giant arcade.

What most visitors to Funspot enjoy is that the prices are cheaper than Disney World and at the same time there is plenty of action to keep you busy for several hours.

You will find four different Go-Kart tracks for older kids, plus a couple for very young children. The bigger Go-Karts also include two-seaters for the young ones that can’t ride alone yet.

In addition to the go-karts you will find carnival rides, bumper boats, bumper cars, a giant Ferris wheel and other rides too.

You can buy an unlimited pass that allows you to come and go as you want all day and it allows you to go on all the outdoor rides as many times as you want plus play all the video games in the arcade.

While there are many things to do at Funspot, the big attraction is the Go-Karts. Once your kids try them, and get hooked on them, you may be spending more time there than you planned. Some families enter at 11 am and depart at 11 pm. With the unlimited day pass, you can also go out and eat and then return as you like.

Some visitors to Funspot describe it as Orlando’s best kept secret, and this is probably the reason why there are no long lines, and you can ride on the Go-Karts to your heart’s content for hours without wasting your time waiting to get on the rides. If you are not into Go-Karts and bumper cars then this park may not be the best fit for you, because the arcade games are not quite state-of-the-art.

An unlimited pass costs around $35 per person and if you come in a group of ten or more you can get a rate of $25 per person, and this includes unlimited riding on all Go-Karts tracks, thrill rides, family rides and kid spot rides plus unlimited play in the arcade with more than 60 games. Kids must be 52 inches tall to ride on the Go-Karts.

If you want to hold a birthday party at Funspot they offer flexible packages. You can have a birthday party in which participants get an unlimited pass to the arcade, the rides or the Go-Karts or even all of the attractions. Birthday parties have to be booked 72 hours in advance.

The food at Funspot is the normal amusement park fare, pizza, sodas and should be enough to satisfy most kids.

So, if you have some Go-Kart enthusiasts in your family then definitely make it a point to visit Funspot and add a bit of extra time to your planned visit there, because you will probably need it. You can contact the Fun Spot Action Park at 5551 Del Verde Way, Orlando, Florida 32819, telephone 407-363-3867
